Man Attacks Two Others With Saw, Ax Before Apologizing

Police officers in Fort Worth are in pursuit of a man who attacked two men at a gas station before he realized he had pursued the wrong people.

On Sunday afternoon, Jose Avila, 25, and his father, Jose DeLeon, were pumping gas when a man suddenly charged at Avila with an ax before he grabbed an electric saw from his truck and whirled it at DeLeon’s head.

After a struggle, the victims pulled the saw from their assaulter’s hand. According to authorities, the man said, “I’m sorry. I thought you were somebody else.”

He then sped away in his white pickup truck.

DeLeon suffered a head injury from the attack.
